Job Summary
Lead and deploy state-of-the-art advanced ML systems across NLP, speech recognition, and information retrieval; design and build agentic AI systems for multi-step workflows, including tool/function calling, multi-agent orchestration, planning, grounding, and safety guardrails; use reinforcement learning techniques to improve personalization and dialog policies; fine-tune and adapt LLMs/SLMs using PEFT, distillation, and quantization; optimize for quality, latency, cost, and production constraints; collaborate with cross-functional partners to deploy solutions into production; implement privacy, safety, and security controls for GenAI; required strong academic credentials and hands-on industry experience; proficient in Python and ML libraries; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- MS with 7+ years of hands-on industry experience in building and deploying machine learning systems (NLP/Information Retrieval/Recommendation System and/or GenAI) in production environments
- PhD with 4+ years of hands-on industry experience also acceptable
- Strong Python and ML libraries (PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face, scikit-learn)
- Experience with LLMs and fine-tuning/ deployment of SLMs for targeted use cases
- Experience scaling LLM systems (caching, batching, prompt/version governance)
- Knowledge of NLP concepts, transformer architectures, knowledge distillation, transfer learning
- Ability to design experiments with strong baselines and meaningful metrics
- Collaborative skills across product, engineering, and governance teams
- Ability to implement privacy, safety, and security controls for GenAI systems
