Job Summary
Senior Applied AI ML Researcher in Commercial & Investment Banking focused on GenAI/Agentic AI to automate complex operational processes. Responsibilities include contributing to the development of GenAI and Agentic solutions, delivering agents that can collaborate to solve large, complex problems and orchestrate end-to-end workflows at enterprise scale, assisting in designing and building services and libraries for AI teams, contributing to scalable, reliable, and secure AI/ML solutions in production, and collaborating with stakeholders across Lines of Business to maximize impact. Preferred qualifications include AWS SageMaker/Bedrock experience and PhD level education. The role operates in London, UK, within the Applied AI Research team seeking to bridge theory and enterprise-grade deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Research experience or experience working in a commercial AI research environment
- Strong understanding of AI fundamentals and practical experience with data analysis and experimental design
- Experience deploying AI/ML applications in a production environment
- Familiarity with distributed computing patterns for training, serving, and persistence of state
- Experience integrating user feedback to support agentic refinement and self-improving AI applications
- Experience working as part of a high-performing AI team
