Job Summary
Lead role for Applied AI/ML within JPMorgan Payments, focusing on designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML models and agentic systems (LLMs) to enhance payments processing, fraud detection, and customer experience. Collaborate with Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions, design scalable data pipelines, and ensure model documentation and regulatory adherence. Drive business impact by communicating outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders, leveraging NLP/LLM and other ML techniques, and advancing the tooling ecosystem (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, DSPy).
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science/Data Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research with minimum 6 years of industry experience
- Experience with Shell Scripting, Jupyter notebook/Lab, SQL, PySpark, and AWS Cloud Services
- Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Model Context Protocol (MCP), DSPy
- Strong knowledge of ML/AI algorithms, including NLP/LLM and Computer Vision; familiarity with state-of-the-art practices
- Ability to set analytical direction and translate business questions into analytical plans
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior management
- Experience with regulatory/compliance considerations in model development
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration (Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance)
- Experience in developing and deploying data processing pipelines and scalable systems
