Job Summary
Applied AI ML Director responsible for leading NLP/LLM and graph analytics initiatives within JPMorgan Chase's ML Center of Excellence. Lead research and production deployment of state-of-the-art ML models for NLP tasks, graph analytics, speech analytics, time-series predictions, and recommendation systems. Collaborate with Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy and Business Management to scale ML solutions. Drive firm-wide initiatives by developing large-scale frameworks to accelerate ML model application across business areas. Requires PhD or MS with significant experience, deep expertise in NLP/LLM, graph analytics, and hands-on DL toolkits; strong experimental design and communication skills; and track record of producing production-ready ML solutions.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a quantitative discipline or MS with significant industry/research experience in the field
- Solid background in NLP, LLM and graph analytics
- Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Ability to design experiments and evaluation metrics aligned with business goals
- Experience with big data and scalable model training
- Strong written and spoken communication to convey technical concepts to technical and business audiences
- Independent and collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams
- Published research in ML/DL/RL at major conferences or journals (preferred)
- Knowledge in mathematics and statistics (preferred)
- Familiarity with financial services industries and CI models (preferred)
- Experience with A/B experimentation and production-quality code (preferred)
- Cloud-native deployment in large-scale distributed environments (preferred)
- Strong background in ML/DL methods, NLP, LLM, graph analytics
- Demonstrated ability to lead research-to-production initiatives
- Ability to invent and work in collaborative environments
