Job Summary
Executive Director for Applied AI/ML leading a small team to develop horizontal AI capabilities (APIs, libraries) and promote best practices in AI across the organization. Role focuses on mentoring AI engineers, delivering secure AI/ML solutions, designing and building reusable services and libraries, driving adoption across AI teams, and maintaining cutting-edge capabilities in enterprise AI. Requires a strong foundation in AI and software engineering, hands-on experience with training and deploying models, leadership of high-performing AI teams, and excellent communication to diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary AI engineering teams
- Significant software engineering experience including large-scale production systems
- Strong foundation in AI fundamentals and practical data analysis and experimental design
- Hands-on experience training, deploying models and pipelines
- Familiarity with distributed computing patterns for training and serving
- Experience building and leading high-performing AI teams
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey complex technical concepts
- Ability to influence key decision-makers with compelling technical arguments
