Job Summary
Applied AI/ML Scientist within the Payment Solutions team to research, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI solutions that improve payment processes, strengthen fraud detection, and enhance customer experience. Responsible for designing and executing scalable data processing pipelines, conducting analyses to derive business insights, and communicating outcomes to senior management. Collaborates with Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure model documentation, performance tracking, and regulatory compliance, translating model results into business impact while addressing constraints such as model complexity, scalability, and latency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research) with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience
- Experience with Shell Scripting, Jupyter notebook/Lab, SQL, PySpark, and AWS Cloud Services
- Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in Machine learning and Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Experience with Jupyter Notebook/Lab is essential
- 3+ years of extensive experience in NLP or LLM, or Computer Vision and other ML techniques
- Solid Understanding of ML/AI algorithms and NN including LLMs and Generative AI
- Proficient in both basic and advanced exploratory data analysis (EDA)
- Ability to set analytical direction and transform business questions into analytical plans
- Strong cognitive and communication skills
- Preferred: experience in financial services, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks, Snowflake)
