Applied AI Engineer - AI Neobank App (Malaysia)

Job Summary
Build AI-powered workflows, assistants, and automation systems for BJAK's AI Neobank app across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, and internal tools. Integrate LLMs with business data, APIs, and knowledge bases to turn manual processes into scalable AI-native systems. Design evaluation, monitoring, and fallback flows to ensure outputs are safe and reliable, then prototype quickly to productionize solutions that improve speed and quality. Work directly with product and engineering teams to implement AI where it creates real business value, prioritizing guardrails and measurable outcomes over research-only projects. This hybrid role in Malaysia requires at least three days in the office and strong English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Strong software engineering foundation
- Python

- experience building with AI tools
- Able to connect AI systems with real product, data and operational workflows
- Good judgement on where AI helps and where rule-based systems or human review are better
- Understands evaluation, accuracy, latency, cost, privacy and failure modes
- Fast builder who can prototype, test and ship practical systems
- Strong English communication
- English is our main working language across global teams
- work from our Malaysia office at least 3 days per week
