Job Summary
Apply fertilizer and crop protection products using high clearance sprayers or floaters, and pick up and deliver supplies to customers including farmers, feed stores, and refineries. Work independently to educate clients on product techniques while assisting sales staff with order accuracy. Perform warehouse duties operating loaders and forklifts, and conduct daily vehicle maintenance inspections and load securement. Lift and load products, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. This hybrid role in Glyndon, MN, requires a Class A CDL or ability to obtain one, plus experience with agricultural machinery. CHS Dakota Plains Ag provides training in crop protection mixing and equipment operation.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application
- Must meet minimum age requirement
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
- Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
- Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
- Agriculture background and customer experience preferred
- Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
