Job Summary
Operates commercial sprayer or floater to apply crop inputs to fields and growing crops, maintains and repairs location equipment, and performs pre-trip inspections on assigned vehicles. Requires ability to obtain pesticide/applicator licenses and a CDL within one year; high school diploma or equivalent; driving and safety responsibilities, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies. Based in Hartley, IA with responsibilities across the region as part of New Century FS (GROWMARK system).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain and maintain CDL license with required endorsements within 1 year of employment
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain pesticide/applicator’s license or any other licenses and certifications necessary to the position
- Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development
- Must have the ability to move up to 100lbs
- Compliance with safety programs and policies (OSHA, DOT)
