APPLICATIONS TECHNICIAN (BASED IN ANY OCBA HUB)

Job Summary
Translate business needs into technical requirements and develop scalable application solutions to support MSF-OCBA's field operations. Maintain and monitor systems for performance and reliability, providing technical support to globally dispersed users while ensuring data interoperability and security compliance. Design optimized data models and document processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and system sustainability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external providers across headquarters and regional hubs in Amman, Bogotá, Dakar, Nairobi, Barcelona, Bilbao, Sevilla, or Madrid. Operate in a multicultural environment with remote support requirements and availability for short field visits.
Required Qualifications
- Technical background in Information Technology, Software Development or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, including business analysis, application development lifecycle, application troubleshooting and debugging
- Proven experience providing technical support to non-technical and geographically dispersed users
- Strong knowledge of application development lifecycle, SQL databases, scripting and automation (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js), and front-end customization
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in eHealth and/or humanitarian contexts
- Experience with web application environments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate), and advanced Excel
- Knowledge of MSF-relevant platforms (DHIS2, KoBo, Community Health Toolkit)
- Knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic and/or Portuguese
