Applications Support Tech Lead Analyst - Vice President

Job Summary
Lead and own production-support initiatives for critical enterprise applications within Citi’s Data Solutions domain. Serve as a technical authority in apps support, partnering with multiple technology teams to define system enhancements, analyze complex business processes, document requirements, and guide risk-aware decision-making. Drive incident response, post-mortems, and automation to improve reliability; mentor and coach junior analysts; influence senior stakeholders and product owners through clear, diplomatic communication. Role requires deep expertise in UNIX/Linux, OpenShift/Kubernetes, enterprise monitoring and logging tools, databases (Oracle/MSSQL/MongoDB), messaging (Kafka, MQ), REST APIs, and an understanding of distributed architectures and AI/ML concepts. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are essential to delivering high-impact outcomes across multiple large development projects while maintaining Citi’s risk and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of production support experience
- Proven and practical experience in a production support role managing enterprise-level applications
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
- Experience with SRE practices: monitoring, alerting, incident response, post-mortems, automation
- Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting proficiency
- Enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics)
- Log aggregation platforms (Splunk, ELK)
- Containerization platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Messaging solutions (Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka)
- REST APIs experience
- Distributed application architecture understanding
- OOP concepts
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts/tools
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to requirements gathering
- Education: Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred
