Job Summary
Senior Apps Support Analyst at Citi responsible for running and maintaining the production environment for reference data applications, delivering technical and business support, managing incidents, planning changes and releases, optimizing monitoring/observability, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams, and driving automation and runbooks to improve stability, performance, and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in an Application Support role
- Unix/Linux
- Shell scripting
- Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics) and log aggregation platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK)
- Experience with containerization platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Relational (Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Messaging solutions (Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-IT staff
- Problem management tools knowledge
- Ability to plan and organize workload
- Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical financial data applications
