Job Summary
Applications & Supplier Development Engineer to support the growth of Donaldson's Process Filtration business within Life Sciences in Brazil. Role combines application engineering, supplier development, and product localization to deliver technically sound, locally sustainable filtration solutions. Collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to expand local sourcing, develop local suppliers, and tailor solutions for Food & Beverage and Life Sciences applications. Responsibilities include reviewing customer process requirements, sizing and evaluating filtration solutions, supporting technical proposals and competitive positioning, conducting benchmarking and cross-reference analyses, performing site risk assessments, qualifying and developing local suppliers, coordinating cross-functional projects, preparing technical specifications and documentation, supporting testing and implementation, developing knowledge management and training, and delivering technical training to internal stakeholders. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience; preferred qualifications include experience in relevant industries and languages. Location is Itatiba, Sao Paulo, Brazil with a hybrid work model (four days on-site, one day remote). Travel up to 20%. Includes notes on compliance and commitment to equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering, Industrial Equipment, Application Engineering, Supplier Development, or related technical roles
- Professional working proficiency in English and Portuguese
- Experience working within industrial manufacturing, engineered products, or process industries
- Strong understanding of industrial process fundamentals, including flow, pressure, temperature, viscosity, and density
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
