Job Summary
Applications Scientist within Grain Processing Corporation's Technical Solutions group in Muscatine, Iowa, serving as a customer-facing technical resource to demonstrate the value and performance of GPC ingredients across food, nutraceutical, and personal care applications. Responsible for technical consultations, customer presentations, product demonstrations, trade shows, and application expertise to support sales growth and commercialization opportunities. Collaborates with commercial teams, customers, and cross-functional partners to develop application solutions, translate scientific findings into actionable insights, design experiments, and generate technical literature and documentation while managing multiple projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or other science-based curriculum is required
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience is required
- Strong knowledge of food chemistry, organic chemistry, ingredient functionality, and formulation science
- Extensive laboratory experience with analytical techniques and safe laboratory practices
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing ERP systems and LIMS
Desired Qualifications
