Job Summary
Applications Sales Engineer II responsible for identifying customer needs and delivering technically-expert, value-driven solutions in the Metals & Heat Treatment sector. Build and manage relationships with new and existing customers, drive profitable sales, collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver value-added solutions, identify industry trends, explore new applications, and contribute to product development. Requires deep domain expertise in metals processing, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to influence at multiple organizational levels, and up to 55% regional travel. MBA preferred; manufacturers-focused sales experience is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Civil preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience selling technical solutions in a manufacturing environment
- Willing to travel regionally up to 55% of the time
- Have an MBA
- Possess deep expertise in the Metals & Heat Treatment industries
- Excel at communication, presentation, and relationship building
- Can influence and engage across various levels within organizations
- Problem-solver with a knack for innovation and critical thinking
- Strong understanding of business and financial concepts
