Job Summary
Supervise daily activities of applications support and development staff while managing project, team, and department deadlines. Own all aspects of the SDLC for applications under your area of responsibility, including evaluating user requirements, analyzing solutions, and recommending cost-effective implementations. Provide periodic status reports, forecast resource utilization, and train, counsel, and appraise staff to ensure professional growth. Respond to special project requests, assist in preparing and monitoring the IT department budget, and manage internally developed and vendor applications. Maintain on-call 24/7 availability for IT support issues and participate in emergency management activities during local states of disaster.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred
- 7 years of job related experience
- 5 years of supervisory/management experience
- experience in computer programming and systems design
- Strong multi-platform computer programming skills
- working experience with the following languages, VB.NET, C#.NET, .NET Core, PowerBuilder, HTML, XML, JavaScript, PHP, SQL Server, PL/SQL
- Strong verbal and written communication, supervisory and organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, employees in other departments, and elected officials
