Job Summary
Lead and grow the Applications Engineering team by hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers while managing on-site staff at key clients. Design, contribute, and support strategic initiatives to establish and track KPIs for team effectiveness, service delivery, and customer success. Foster a culture of accountability and technical excellence by modernizing the learning and development program to ensure all engineers achieve the highest standards. Manage budgets, timelines, and multi-stakeholder projects while collaborating cross-functionally with customers, marketing, product, and engineering teams. Requires 8+ years in manufacturing environments, deep expertise in PLCs and electromechanical systems, and 3+ years leading technical teams. 25% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Direct experience integrating devices into factory systems
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing a technical team
- Proven ability to recruit, grow, and develop engineering talent
- Strong understanding of PLC systems
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including servo motors, motion profiles, and controls
- Strong understanding of MES systems, work cell controls, and process documentation systems
- Deep technical expertise in fastening and assembly processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and multi-stakeholder projects
- Must be available for 25% travel (domestic and international)
