Job Summary
Design and develop custom software applications for manufacturing processes, configuring and customizing existing applications to meet specific needs. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to application functionality and performance, performing root cause analysis for defects and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define specifications, and participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment. Provide technical support and training to end-users while developing and maintaining technical documentation including design specifications and test plans. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in CAD software and industrial automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to complex customer challenges
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam)
- Familiarity with industrial automation and robotics
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, additive manufacturing, or injection molding
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau)
- Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
