Job Summary
Bridge customers, sales, engineering, and manufacturing by interpreting specifications, translating requirements into technical solutions, and supporting product application. Create internal documentation, develop quotes and cost estimates, and assess existing processes to drive continuous improvements. Lead technical proposals, design reviews, and discussions while providing advanced troubleshooting for cutting accuracy and application fit. Maintain knowledge of industry developments through vendor interactions and technical publications. Support complex application development, first-time builds, and product transitions from development to production. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Purchasing to ensure successful execution programs. Perform root cause analysis for material performance issues and prepare justifications for equipment acquisitions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 7+ years of experience, with 20-40% travel for customer and supplier meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related discipline)
- 7+ years of related experience
- Technical, Planning, and Problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills including but not limited to MS Office Suite, MS Project and design software (e.g, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor [preferred], SolidWorks, etc)
- Skill with Quality, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies such as FMEA, DOE, SPC, etc
- Experience using/ interacting with ERP systems
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Travel Requirements: could range from 20-40% for customer and supplier meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Autodesk Inventor [preferred]
- Experience in Printing, Coating, Laminating in flexible packaging or consumer products
