Job Summary
Applications Engineer role responsible for driving sales growth in a defined geographic territory through technical expertise and relationship-building. Partners with customers, distributors, and internal teams to understand technical needs, recommend solutions, and provide product support to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, meeting sales targets through consultative selling and product demonstrations, managing accounts, developing territory sales plans, and maintaining a sales pipeline. Provides pre-sales technical support, including product presentations and demonstrations; collaborates with engineering, R&D, and product management to address technical challenges or customization needs; offers post-sales support as needed. Requires travel within the region and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, plus 3–5+ years in technical sales or applications engineering. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; CRM proficiency; background check required. Comprehensive compensation with generous benefits is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field preferred) or equivalent technical experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in technical sales, field engineering, or applications engineering
- Strong understanding of automation, robotics and ‘like’ industries
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel within the assigned region (typically 30–60%)
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Background check including degree verification, criminal records check, medical and drug screen, professional references, prior employment verification
