Job Summary
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility. Specify and design tooling fixtures, special machinery, and equipment to facilitate part and assembly manufacture. Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance manufacturing quality and reduce costs. Interface with engineering teams to coordinate fabrication, installation, and testing activities while directing operations to ensure products meet specifications. Coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities for optimum machine utilization. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-4 years of experience, proficiency in Solidworks, and availability for evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field
- 3-4 years of directly related experience and/or training
- Proficiency with Solidworks
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interface efficiently in a cross-functional group in an engineering and production environment
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines
- Must be able to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and regulatory orders
- Must be able to conduct business with the highest ethical standards
- Must be able to pass background checks including education verification, employment history verification, criminal convictions, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR & driving history), reference check, credit checks/credit history and drug testing
