Job Summary
Applications Engineer to own and evolve our AWS-based application platform, including integrations with ERP and TMS systems. Balance hands-on backend development with technical project leadership (approx. 50/50) and contribute to application and integration design as the platform grows. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing AWS-hosted applications, writing and debugging backend code and APIs, troubleshooting production issues, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency, owning ERP/TMS integrations, and coordinating with vendors. Travel approx. 25%. Qualifications emphasize AWS production experience, backend language skills (Python/Java/Node.js/C#), API development, multi-system integration, and relational data understanding. Industry exposure in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in software development or cloud application support
- Hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, C#)
- Experience building APIs and integrating multiple systems
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data flows
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of production systems
