Job Summary
Collaborate with customers across aerospace, automotive, and motorsport to understand inspection requirements and develop customised measurement and process control solutions using Renishaw's CMM and gauging products. Provide technical support on application and use of these products while participating in knowledge sharing initiatives and supporting subsidiaries. Engage in hardware and software development through requirements gathering, prepare technical documentation for stakeholders, and stay current on industry trends to deliver innovative solutions. Adhere to confidentiality agreements and travel domestically and internationally to customer and subsidiary sites.
Required Qualifications
- Level 5 (HND/foundation degree) or Level 6 (bachelors in engineering) or equivalent qualifications in an engineering discipline
- Proficient in CMM Programming
- demonstrated understanding of all elements of inspection/manufacturing/engineering requirements
- Good understanding of metrology principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- proactive approach to customer challenges
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- travel, both domestically and internationally, to customer and subsidiary sites on occasion
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Renishaw's CMM and/or gauging products
- MODUS programming experience
- Experience with 2D/3D machine vision
- PLC programming
- robotics (Fanuc or UR)
- data analysis (MATLAB, Python or Excel)
