Applications Engineer - metro Detroit

Conceptual development, pricing, and writing detailed technical proposals for all automation equipment and projects. Analyze technical problems and work closely with customer specifications to assist in design and development of products, systems, and equipment. Travel to customer sites to assist in project or product development while providing sales presentations when required. Obtain and prepare detailed estimates of time, quantities, labor, and material costs for product design, testing, machine building, and manufacturing processes. Assemble and collect technical information from engineering and sales to prepare proposals, then analyze materials and write in clear, concise language for initial drafts. Ensure proposals are sent to customers by the most efficient route to meet deadline dates. Define scope of work adequately to allow project teams to begin work on systems. Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures while maintaining highest ethical standards and compliance with the Code of Business Conduct. Requires 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering support with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
