Job Summary
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs for RF and data communications, then provide technical expertise during pre-sales and post-sales activities including design and cost estimating. Develop product demonstrations, presentations, and technical proposals to prospective and existing customers while customizing and configuring products to meet specific specifications. Conduct product testing and validation to ensure optimal performance, then identify and troubleshoot technical issues to provide timely resolutions. Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, advocating for customer needs and providing feedback for product improvement. Assist in developing technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles. This role involves frequent domestic and international travel, up to 80% initially.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience within the wire and cable industry
- RF/Coax experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
- Ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 80% initially and approximately 60% after the role normalizes
- Ability to lift and move objects and materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite
- Ability to hear and participate in normal conversations and telephone communications
