Job Summary
Design and test complete solutions for unique technical problems, defining new products and features while performing evaluations and field trials. Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting, system integration engineering, and technical analysis via phone, online, and in-person channels. Participate in an off-hour, on-call support rotation to address critical customer escalations and work with Engineering teams to validate features through firmware and hardware changes. Create and maintain customer-facing documentation including manuals, guides, and application notes to support sales efficiency. Oversee and assist the RMA and Loaner teams by providing equipment recommendations and vetting customer requests. This role supports the Sales Engineering team with demonstrations, training, and bug recreation, requiring up to 25% travel for in-person engineering support at customer sites. Based in West Los Angeles, CA, with a hybrid schedule of at least three onsite days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field
- Proficiency with instruments such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other radio frequency and data network test equipment and testing
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, multitask, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details
- Proficiency with PC office applications and mobile devices
- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident)
- Successful clearance of a background check and drug test
- Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen)
- 10-25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking
- Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems, radio frequency signal propagation, and digital communication technologies
- Experience with testing embedded radio communication systems
- Familiarity with Linux
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or C/C++
