Job Summary
Applications Engineer I - Early Career responsible for driving the technical aspects of customer qualification engagements, replicating/analyzing and developing solutions with internal engineering teams to address issues, running tests in customer environments to validate drive/system compatibility, and creating/presenting technical information to internal teams. The role involves coordinating with the customer account team to translate feedback into future product requirements, coordinating activities across organizations to meet customer expectations, and leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, quality, and decision-making with professional judgment and domain expertise. The candidate should be able to work flexible hours to support worldwide customers, demonstrate strong written and oral communication, and show a passion for continuous improvement. Experience with testing and resolving complex issues, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, plus familiarity with SATA/SAS/NVMe interfaces and storage systems, are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science/analytics, or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience testing and resolving concurrent, complex highly technical issues
- Project management and tracking experience
- Engineering design experience (preferred)
- Experience dealing with external customer or supplier
- Programming experience (preferred)
- Experience with SATA, SAS, and NVMe interfaces and bus analyzers
- Storage system level experience
- Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies
