Applications Engineer 2 - Water Treatment

Job Summary
Support estimation efforts and proposal creation for Water Treatment projects by bidding plants, compiling engineering documentation for construction bids, and coordinating with vendors. Review and create specifications from contractors and engineers, prepare technical drawings and P&IDs, and organize sales-level proposals. Perform project-related calculations, respond to customer technical clarifications, and conduct sales presentations with the Regional Sales Manager. Collaborate with interdepartmental engineers and Project Managers to define scope, while conducting peer reviews of bids. Requires 1-2+ years of experience, Bachelor's degree in engineering, and ~25% travel. Master's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Biological, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Generally, 1-2+ years of related experience
- Willingness to travel (~25%)
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of chemistry and physics
- Proficient in computer applications and time management
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to follow through and work well in a team
- Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods
- Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lbs.)
- May be required to be clean-shaven for proper fitting of respiratory equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Master's degree in Engineering
