Job Summary
Applications Engineer 2 responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating integration of machinery into manufacturing processes; CNC programming and setup; tooling and fixturing design to manufactur parts to print; conducting design reviews and manufacturability assessments; mentoring engineers and machinists; and contributing to safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of CNC machining/programming experience. Skills include SolidWorks, CAM software (MasterCAM/Esprit), GD&T and blueprint reading, and a focus on manufacturing efficiency, quality, and delivery. Location: Black Creek, GA; role active in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machines, tooling, and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 2-4 years of CNC machining/programming experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software
- Experience with MasterCAM or Esprit (CAM software)
- Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to participate in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 2-4 years of CNC machining/programming experience
- SolidWorks CAD software experience
- MasterCAM or Esprit experience (CAM software)
- GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading
- Mentoring or training experience is a plus
