Job Summary
Provide daily support for production applications including end users located in the field, remote sites, or at the Central Support office; perform current state/root-cause analysis to guide development; create and run SQL for data fixes; test and diagnose problems; write complex SQL queries; provide end-user guidance on solutions; coordinate and conduct application testing for new IT projects (develop test cases); develop software release notes or User Guides; limited travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- Six to eight years of experience as an applications analyst for IT systems providing development and support
- Experience with Transactional Applications/Systems
- Understanding of RDBMS concepts and database structures, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, and how to use SQL tools to conduct data analysis
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with multiple people within IT and various business departments
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- Experience in the transportation industry with emphasis in ERP leasing and maintenance applications is desirable
