Job Summary
Application Systems Administrator responsible for testing and implementing system and application software installations/upgrades, planning change control, and performing workstation and server administration. Roles include backup/recovery design and monitoring, capacity planning, asset inventories, software licensing compliance, on-call support, root-cause analysis, vendor coordination to improve functionality, and developing moderately complex utility programs. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and typically 3 years of experience in application development and support. The position offers remote work in North Carolina with up to 50% travel to local facilities, and pays $35.50-$53.25/hour (annualized to $73,840-$110,760).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field
- Experience typically requires 3 years in application development and support
- Advanced knowledge of operating systems, databases, vendor-specific development languages or environments, and other system software
- Strong written and oral communication skills
