Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain C/C++ applications for Windows-based systems and embedded microcontrollers, ensuring predictable real-time performance. Implement communication protocols including Modbus, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C while collaborating with automation engineers to integrate PLC systems and ladder logic. Read electrical schematics and support commissioning, troubleshooting, and system improvements across industrial environments. Manage configuration and operational data through SQL and Microsoft Access databases. Participate in code reviews to enhance standards and maintainability. This role supports production-critical systems within industrial and automation settings.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years in software/systems engineering roles
- Strong programming experience in C
- Solid experience with C++
- Experience with Windows applications
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers
- Understanding of real-time system requirements
- Experience with industrial and embedded communication protocols
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Database experience (SQL and/or Microsoft Access)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in poultry/livestock operations
- Experience with LabWindows/CVI or LabVIEW
- PLC programming and ladder logic
- Experience in industrial or automation environments
