Job Summary
As an Apps Support Group Manager at Citi, lead the stability and operational integrity of Citi's critical Reference Data Applications. You will command major incidents, drive resolution across multiple teams, and maintain executive-level communication during crises. Shape the stability strategy, digitize services, eliminate manual work, and ensure platforms scale for growth. Responsibilities include guiding cross-functional teams, defining capacity and throughput frameworks, establishing on-boarding guidelines, managing vendor relationships and offshore teams, driving post-mortems and root-cause analysis, improving end-user service levels through efficiency gains, and ensuring compliance with laws and Citi policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 15+ years in Enterprise Application Production Support with 5+ years in a strategic role
- Experience with financial systems preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration)
- Proven track record in stability, resiliency, and automation initiatives
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring, observability, and log aggregation tools (ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Splunk, ELK)
- Strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a distributed technology stack (Java, Unix/Linux, SQL/Oracle, NoSQL, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka, REST APIs)
