Job Summary
Own critical incidents by identifying root causes, mitigating impact, and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent recurrence. Ensure the seamless operation of distributed, multi-server trading systems and serve as the go-to expert for traders through hands-on application assistance. Oversee UAT coordination and production software releases while collaborating with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot complex production issues. Design and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions, automate workflows with scripts to drive operational excellence, and proactively identify gaps for continuous improvement. Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required. This hands-on role supports cutting-edge trading systems across Asian markets for a leading proprietary trading firm in Hong Kong.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in a trading support or similar technical role
- Proficiency with Linux environments and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, or PHP)
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- A passion for automation and building scalable, standards-based solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment
- Engage in occasional after-hours support and testing as required to ensure smooth operations
