Application Support Analyst (hybrid)

Job Summary
Provide production application support for business-critical financial systems, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimal business disruption. Write complex SQL queries to research issues, validate data, troubleshoot production problems, and support reporting requests. Support financial business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and related accounting workflows. Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with technical teams to resolve system and data-related problems. Partner with Accounting, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate issues, and deliver effective solutions. Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and backlog items for development teams. Develop and execute test plans for system enhancements, releases, and production fixes. Analyze application data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement. Create and maintain system documentation, support materials, and end-user training documentation. Fully remote in Texas (Central Time Zone preferred), contract-to-hire for approximately 90 days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
Required Qualifications
- Strong SQL query writing skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot production issues
- Experience providing production application support for enterprise business applications
- Experience supporting financial systems and accounting workflows, including GL, AP, and AR
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Outstanding cross-functional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Finance, Accounting, IT, developers, and business users
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum development environments
- Ability to prioritize multiple production issues while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Must reside in the Central Time Zone
- Available during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST)
- Monday – Friday schedule availability
- Contract-to-Hire employment type availability
Desired Qualifications
- Financial systems such as ERP, Procurement, Revenue, Treasury, or Tax applications
- API integrations and system-to-system data exchanges
- Experience supporting enterprise application releases and production deployments
- Experience creating test plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
