Job Summary
As an Automation Application Specialist, you'll provide technical expertise and support in implementing industrial automation solutions. Responsibilities include collaborating with clients on manufacturing processes, delivering training sessions, assisting with sales presentations, and offering guidance on automation equipment and software. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, advanced automation experience, and the ability to apply high-tech products effectively. Travel required, with a focus on identifying major projects and improving client operations through automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
- Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent industry
- Experience with or knowledge of competitive product and applications
- Demonstrated ability to correctly apply and implement our newest “high tech” products
- Extensive SMC Application knowledge or equivalent industry
- Extensive experience with various manufacturing products and processes, including packaging, electronics, food, chemical, automotive and medical
- Clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Fluid Power Pneumatic Specialist Certification preferred
- Proficient in CRM and the use of computers and ability to learn new programs and tools as required
