Job Summary
Mix and apply crop protection inputs to fields using specialized equipment, adjusting settings based on product requirements and weather conditions. Scout fields, collect soil samples, and assess crop stages to determine optimal application timing. Maintain, repair, and calibrate agricultural machinery including sprayers and spreaders while ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Deliver products to customers, record application data in compliance with regulations, and manage inventory by submitting daily records. Obtain a valid CDL and pesticide license within six months, and be prepared to work varying hours and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker)
- Clean driving record
- All required federal and state pesticide licenses
- Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year
- Ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements
