Job Summary
The Application Specialist is responsible for the precise and safe application of agricultural crop production input products to fields. Duty includes operating and maintaining custom application equipment (sprayers, spreaders, and related machinery), following agronomic plans and regulatory guidelines, performing pre- and post-application inspections, adhering to safety protocols and PPE usage, monitoring weather and field conditions to optimize timing and method, maintaining accurate records of applications, coordinating with customers, agronomists, and team members, and assisting with inventory management and reporting of chemical usage. The role requires physical labor, the ability to work in varying weather, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDL with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment; All required federal and state pesticide licenses within the first six months of employment; Experience operating agricultural machinery (sprayers and spreaders) preferred; Ability to work in various weather conditions and outside normal hours; Strong attention to detail and safety; Good communication and teamwork skills; Ability to lift and move heavy objects; Provide Exceptional Customer Service; Understanding of agronomy practices, crop protection products, and safety regulations.
