Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain the Prizm Medical Device Database and its Medical Device Data Management System, including scalable database and UI solutions. Leverage Python to automate data workflows, create ETL pipelines, and validate incoming medical device data from FDA sources, client APIs, and vendor files. Implement user-facing features using HTML, CSS, Java, and templating engines while integrating AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity. Partner with database administrators and cross-functional teams to optimize performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure data integrity. Monitor ETL cadence and resolve build problems throughout the QA and release workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of software development experience with Python, Java, CSS, and HTML
- Associate degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency developing, reviewing, testing, and debugging applications written in Python, Java, CSS, and HTML
- Working knowledge of relational database design, data modeling, data integrity principles, workflow automation, and performance optimization for data-driven systems
- Experience with ETL/data integration concepts, API troubleshooting, data mapping, data validation, and ingestion of structured or semi-structured data files from multiple sources
- Ability to evaluate, develop, integrate, and validate AI-enabled tools or automation within data management workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Well organized work habits with attention to detail and a commitment to quality improvements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
