Job Summary
Application Security Solution Architect responsible for designing, strengthening, and securing Bank of America applications across the development lifecycle. Work includes analyzing security requirements, documenting risks and opportunities, aligning designs to security policies and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO, CIS, PCI, SOX), and collaborating with lines of business, security engineering, and IT teams. Provide expert guidance on security design decisions, maintain architecture artifacts and reference architectures, drive secure by design initiatives, and participate in architecture review discussions to reduce risk and improve the organization’s security posture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant hands-on experience in application security in a large and complex organization
- Knowledge of application security and pen testing methodologies, techniques, and technologies
- Knowledge of SDLC tools and methodologies that support automated security compliance integration in pipelines
- Knowledge and understanding of OWASP, NIST, ISO/EC, CIS, SOX, OCC, PCI, DGPR, FISMA, FFIEC within the financial services sector
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts and drive risk reductions with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience with Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing, BOM, Threat Modeling, and cloud/on-premise architectures
- Proficient in designing and governing secure software development practices
- Hands-on experience with architectural design and governance in security platforms
