Application Security Engineer

Application Security Engineer role based in the Cork, Ireland office with a hybrid work model (minimum two days per week in the office). You will partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into the SDLC, lead threat modeling and secure design, perform security testing across the SDLC (SAST/DAST, code reviews, manual testing), and drive DevSecOps automation and AI-enabled vulnerability detection/remediation. Responsibilities include threat modeling, secure coding standards, architecture reviews, vulnerability triage and remediation, CI/CD pipeline integration, tooling development to scale AppSec, risk assessment, and security advocacy/mentorship across R&D and product teams. Required: Bachelor's degree in CS, Security, or equivalent, and 5+ years in application security with hands-on experience in vulnerabilities, secure practices, and modern security tooling. Nice-to-have: security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, OSCP) and experience with cloud-native stacks. Location-specific note: Cork, Ireland with hybrid work arrangements.
