Application Scientist I

Job Summary
Provide technical support and collaborate to ensure projects meet timelines, developing application-based solutions for Sensient colors and coatings. Generate technical content and application samples for demonstration kits and product launches while conducting training for technical and commercial teams. Respond to customer inquiries regarding product technical aspects, guide development and troubleshooting strategies for customer formulations, and support production first runs and problem solving. Cross-train in flavor application and participate in sensory panels. This customer-facing role within the Pharmaceutical Business Unit focuses on non-active ingredients for dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products, requiring a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines and one to three years of new product development experience.
Required Qualifications
- University degree (B.S. or higher) in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, biological sciences, or related scientific discipline

Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience and understanding of formulation, development and production of technical ingredients
- Knowledge of Analytical Analysis
- One to three years' experience in new product development and/or use of technical ingredients in consumable goods
- Experience in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical products
