Job Summary
Analyze objectives and design specifications to meet user needs, developing block diagrams and logic flowcharts to translate detailed designs into computer software. Design, code, test, debug, and refine software to produce required products while preparing program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency, devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems within equipment capacity and limitations. Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. Requires a Master's degree, six years of related experience, and a Secret Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 6 years' experience that is directly related to the following duties and responsibilities
- Experience as an application programmer on large scale program or system
- Knowledge of computer equipment
- Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
- Secret Security Clearance
