Job Summary
Drive new applications utilizing the broad portfolio of adhesives and tapes offered by Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division within the United States and Canada. Provide technical support to achieve growth and solve complex customer design challenges by engaging with customers, field sales, and marketing to deliver expertise. Responsibilities include application development, creating technical information, gaining customer-specific needs and insights, and performing product and application characterization. Partner with customers on adhesive and tape dispensing and automation projects to build deep understanding of state-of-the-art technologies. Train customers, sales reps, and international colleagues while creating new application demonstration tools. Collaborate with product development, product engineering, marketing, and field sales to develop core and new products aligned to customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline, completed and verified prior to start, from an accredited institution
- Minimum five (5) years of laboratory, technical, or applied science experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- At least one (1) year experience applying technical expertise in a customer-facing, field support, product development, or technical service capacity
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of experience working with tapes and/or adhesives
- Two (2) years of experience in application engineering
- Experience with adhesive and tape dispensing, dispensing equipment and/or automation
- Experience problem solving or trouble shooting
