Application Engineering Manager - North America Power Distribution

Job Summary
Lead and grow the application engineering team for power distribution in the United States, ensuring sufficient response to all customer enquiries and participating in major quotes and bids with key customers. Collaborate with regional engineers, design engineering, and R&D to provide product optimizations, develop new offerings, and address quality concerns through corrective action reports. Drive process improvements and standard development while guiding manufacturing to ensure product performance. Engage in critical customer SRM meetings, industry conferences, and site visits to promote products and identify cost-saving opportunities. Manage talent development and cross-functional initiatives across sales and design teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical)
- 5+ years' experience in Engineering, preferably Wire and Cable
- Strong engineering knowledge
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel
- Ability to participate in cross-functional teams and be an influencer within a matrix organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think and act LEAN in order to optimize internal processes and customer offerings
- Trips to customer locations, manufacturing sites, industry conferences, and trade shows (at least 25%), including international travel - company travel policy permitting
