Job Summary
Application Engineer to engage with customers on defined applications involving motors, drives, gearboxes and related Allient Inc. products; serve as liaison between Allient Inc., customers, distributors, and reps; issue quotes, track orders, and provide engineering specifications and technical assistance to resolve procurement, manufacturing, installation, and field operating problems; oversee product installation and trial operations; generate reports and maintain documentation; travel may be required; role includes training to gain thorough product knowledge and cross-functional understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical
- 3 – 8 years of work and/or intern/co-op experience with technical, manufactured products and systems
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others at all levels
- Solid computer skills include MS Office, engineering design software such as Solidworks, MatLab, Altium, etc.
