Job Summary
Application Engineer responsible for supporting proposal, design, and execution phases across multiple markets (Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Data Centers, Mission Critical, District Cooling, and CHP). Responsibilities include analyzing project-specific weather profiles, building thermal performance models, predicting outputs and environmental impact, conducting sensitivity analyses, technical writing, specification reviews, and equipment/process calculations. Independently perform engineering and design tasks; develop and improve thermal performance analysis tools; present technical solutions to clients; support bids and proposals with performance analyses, schematics, and ROI models; contribute to business development and internal studies; coordinate with sales/marketing for bids and external publications. Requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills and willingness to travel for site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with focus on thermodynamics, heat transfer, or energy systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills particularly with macros and VBA
- Familiarity with design procedures and inter-discipline communication
- Familiarity with engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangements)
- Travel up to 5% may be required
- Authorized to work in the USA
