Job Summary
Application Engineer responsible for estimating, proposal development, and supporting purchasing and inventory control; evaluate bid specs, develop strategic winning scope, and collaborate with SAMCO Process Engineering to select materials of construction, instruments, valves, equipment, and controls. Duties include composing P&IDs and running process projections, sizing and selecting system components, reviewing commercial conditions, and developing cost estimates and estimating templates. Collaborates with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to develop cost-effective, winning estimates; reviews historic data to track performance; utilizes SAGE100/Job Ops; develops process work tickets and BOMs; participates in standardization of materials and vendors; and participates in meetings and special projects as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 2 years of experience with estimating and/or project management, with a focus in chemical process treatment and system design
