Job Summary
Application Engineer with Moog in Nieuw-Vennep, The Netherlands: primary technical interface between engineering and customers for flight- and other simulator applications. Responsibilities include hands-on assessment, setup, tuning, and troubleshooting of flight simulators (factory and on-site), leading FATs and SATs, supporting in-house testing, translating customer requirements into hardware/software configurations, and proposing future product developments. Travel up to 40% across Europe and beyond to customer sites; interaction with end-users and OEMs (Airbus, Boeing, BMW, Ford, etc.). Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, knowledge of measurement and control, control systems and cabinet hardware, programming with C++ or MATLAB/Simulink, and strong English proficiency; opportunities to travel globally and to engage in training and customer support.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (i.e.: mechatronics or measurement and controls)
- Knowledge and understanding of “Measurement and Control”
- Knowledge and understanding of control systems and cabinet hardware
- Good level of control systems engineering: understanding the interaction between mechanical design, electronics, and control software
- Knowledge of programming language like C++ or MATLAB Simulink
- Good level of spoken and written English, a second language is a plus
