Job Summary
Application Engineer serving as the technical liaison between engineering, product management, sales, and customers to ensure the successful application, integration, and performance of Methode technologies in real-world use cases. Provides advanced technical guidance, translates complex engineering concepts into practical customer solutions, and drives cross-functional alignment. Responsibilities include guiding application design, troubleshooting field issues, enabling design-in activities, collaborating with internal teams to optimize system performance, supporting product launches, performing design reviews and validation, and delivering field-driven insights for product improvements. The role requires hands-on lab work, strong analytical capability, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through technical credibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in application, design, or systems engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two of: User interface systems, Interior and Exterior Lighting technologies, Power electronics
- Strong understanding of system interfaces (mechanical, electrical, thermal)
- Hands-on troubleshooting with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation
- Willingness to travel domestically for customer visits and field support
